Artists Wanted
The Renegade Art Competition : Art Ate New York
A Call for New York City Guerrilla Art
What We Want:
Public work that consumes this town. Create something
profound, public and just left-of-legal and you will have
a chance of winning loot/fame. We are looking for renegade
sculpture, poster-work, performance, spray-can-art or
anything else we haven't thought of. It must be publicly
placed.
You get points for aesthetic, placement, ambition and
over-all brilliance. Document your work with photos or
video and submit it to us by September 21st. The best
entries will be featured online. The chosen one will be
famous.
Your work will be judged by:
iO of Overspray Magazine
Chris Hackett of The Madagascar Institute
William Etundi of TheDanger
Garrison Buxton and Ray Cross of Ad-Hoc Arts
Jason Goodman of 3rd Ward Brooklyn.
The Prize:
The winner gets an artstar reception at a Manhattan
gallery, a major feature in the yearly publication The
Annual, three months supply of Redbull to fuel your art,
a subscription to Overspray Magazine, a three month
membership to 3rd Ward and a trophy so heavy and fabulous
that you will need three friends to help you carry it home.
The Event:
The best entries will be shown at a party/exhibition
Friday, October 19th at 40-42 Thompson St., Manhattan.
The full event details will be released in October but
expect massive art projections, Red Bull Martini bar, DJ's
and bands and a wild awards ceremony all hosted by TheDanger.

Conjuring Elf
Check out Dutch Masterson's new short film Conjuring Elf. It's a unique fusion of graffiti, magic, and stop motion animation. It stars old school bomber ELF MPC of ALIFE notoriety and pays tribute to the early works of cinemagician George Melies.

Hit the Deck!
Get your hands on The Overspray HitTheDeck cards while you still can!
The decks consist of 54 street art pieces each done by a different artist. The artists featured include: The London Police, D*face, Lister, Bast, Elph, Infinity Man, and many, many more.
We only printed 1,000 decks, so they were extremely limited to begin with and they are going fast-- apparently kids in London are pining for limited edition street art cards. We got a few hundred decks left so get on that ish.
Each box is hand stamped, numbered and done up in a special Overspray packaging by a pretty lady. The cards are casino quality and fully playable. The decks are $13 plus shipping and handling, which is $7 in the US, $10 everywhere else. These cards are being sold exclusively online and can only be found on the Overspray website- www.Overspraymag.com
