what the blurb says (thanks MoMA!):
Jürg Lehni (Swiss born 1978) and Uli Franke (German born 1978)
Hektor Spray-Paint Output device
Stepper motor, toothed belts, aluminum casing, spray can, suitcase, custom-made electronics, and Scriptographer software.
“In a publishing world dominated by paper and ink, Hektor allows for printing with spray paint. The contraption commands a suspended spray-paint can that ”prints” text written using Scriptographer, an Adobe Illustrator scripting plug-in designed by Lehni. “During operation, the mechanism sometimes trembles and wobbles and the paint often drips,” the designers say, creating a tension between low and high technology. “
Maybe we should print our next issue this way??
